Operation Manager
Job Description
- Assess the cost, schedule, risks & opportunities for each project in order to aid the company in its investment decisions.
- Manages the operations and maintenance of Drilling Division of Abraj Energy. Services and Works as assistance to the Contract Manager with the clients in executing all existing contracts.
- Also to ensure the Tender is prepared technically for new drilling contracts following new rig designs and manufacturing.
- Follow the monthly billing and ensure the quality and accuracy of the charges.
- Manage resources allocation to gather with Operation manager.
- Maintain provisional up to date data about down time, performance and cost.
- Ensure that each unit remain whiten assigned budget and give written justification for all unbudgeted expenses.
- Ensure inventory accuracy of all his units.
- Ensure that all training needs are met in his units.
- Supervises all drilling operations in the drilling division.
- Supervises the Drilling Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of the Rigs.
- Supervises the application of appropriate well control measures.
- Takes decision on maintenance and upgrading of existing Rigs.
- Prepares Annual Budget for the department and execute it.
- Prepare business case for any upgrade, any new equipment.
- Secures well in emergency situation.
- Directs well control operations.
- Directs crew in loss of rig stability.
- Makes decision to evacuate / abandon the rig.
- Liaise with clients for major operations.
- Chairs the monthly meeting with clients.
- Represents Abraj in client monthly meetings.
- Provides motivation to supervisors and crews.
- Supervise adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership.
- Maintain relationship with customer's representative.
- Control budget and inventory for drilling rigs operation.
- Co-ordinate utilization of equipment and power.
- Ensures that the drilling program is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safeguards the physical presence of fixed assets and inventories, records to be accurate and periodically verified.
- In conjunction with Drilling Superintendents, monitor and control Site Operations and related activities as per the contract.
- Budgeting, Financial planning and Cost Control.
- Approve all purchase orders and payments within the 'delegation of Powers'.
- Responsible for liaison and co-ordination with the client.
- Keep track of all write off.
- Comply with requirements of regulatory agencies.
- Oversees company's rig training program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Relevant field.
- Minimum of 16 years of experiences in oil and gas industry.
- Mminimum of 6 years of experiences in the same position.
