Ashraf Al Mamari has nearly 20 years of experience in various organisational leadership roles. He has a B.Sc Degree in General Management from Sultan Qaboos University and is currently enrolled in the DBA program at Coventry University. He has taken on multiple leadership roles in the energy sector within Oman and abroad. Al Mamari first joined OQ in 2013 as a Learning and Development Manager in one of the company's legacies – Takatuf Oman, then worked in OQ Exploration and Production and OQ Chemicals in Germany before leading OQ's People, Technology, Corporate Affairs, and Supply Chain.
In 2024, he becomes the CEO of OQ Group. Additionally, he is a board member of Abraj Energy Services and OQ Trading. He was previously a board member of OPAL, TRANSOM Catering, and InstOG. As CEO of OQ Group, his mandate includes overseeing the strategic direction and overall operations of the company, driving sustainable growth, enhancing operational efficiency, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of the Group's transformation initiatives
