HSE & Lifting Instructor
Job Description
- Conduct HSE courses as per OPAL and other relevant standards.
- Conduct HSE & Lifting courses in the field as per requirement.
- Understand and comply with all NPORS & RTITB (accrediting body) requirements to deliver lifting training in accordance with the standards.
- Conduct Lifting courses including but not limited to: RNB, MEWP, Forklift Operator, Mobile Crane Operator, Lifting Loft Controller, Lifting Supervisor, Lifting Appointed Person and other associated lifting training to an international standard.
- Conduct professional and objective assessment of the afore-mentioned lifting courses.
- Travel to client locations and conduct the afore-mentioned lifting courses at the site.
- Maintain consistency of training execution and in the implementation of the Accreditation requirements.
- Participate in developing training material to meet training needs when required.
- Maintain all lifting gear and lifting equipment inspection up to date and in safe working condition.
- Maintain safe work environment and ensure all learners are adhering to the safe working practices.
- Complete all the necessary documentation as required by the accrediting body.
- Update all training records, assessments, and attendance in the system as mandated by accrediting body and by Infitech policies and procedures.
- Ensure course materials are regularly reviewed and provide updates to Training Center Manager for review.
- Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids.
- Ensure familiarization with current HSE practices, relevant regulation, and industry-related standards.
- Promote HSE culture within the organization through proper conduct, led by example.
- Assist Training Center Manager in any implementation or other job-related requirements.
- Quality assurance responsibilities:
- Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met.
- Observe and comply with quality requirements of training materials and assessment process.
- Working with Institute staff to establish policies, standards, systems and procedures.
- Determining training needs and monitoring operation process performance.
- Accreditation:
- Act as a point of coordination for training-related accreditations.
- Review, implement and maintain company accreditation policies and processes to ensure best practice is continued.
- Work with the training manager regarding the preparation of program accreditations and evaluations.
- Maintain currency of knowledge in relation to accreditation and quality assurance principles and practices.
- Participate in company marketing initiatives.
- Provide regular reports to Training Center Manager.
Qualifications:
- 4 years' experience.
- General education diploma certificate.
- MOHERI / OPAL Instructor Approval.
- NPORS / RTIBIB / ECITB Qualified (or equivalent).
- NEBOSH Certification or NVQ L6 (or equivalent).
- Recognized Train the Trainer certification (EAL or City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Level 3 Assessor Qualification (preferred).
- Current approved First Aid Certificate.
- NPORS / RTITB/ ECITB (or equivalent) MEWP, Mobile Crane, Forklift, Operator License.
- NPORS / RTITB/ ECITB (or equivalent) Rigger and Banksman Singer qualification.
