Chief Business Development Officer
Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Abraj's business development strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Contribute to strategic planning, ensuring business development plans are linked to profitability drivers and long-term corporate sustainability.
- Identify new service lines and markets (local and international) in line with corporate strategy.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in drilling, and workover, Hoist, Drilling Fluids, Well Engineering, Well Services (Well Testing, Coil Tubing, Cementing, Pumping, etc).
- Create and launch new service offerings from inception to operational readiness.
- Conduct competitive analysis, market assessments, and strategic risk analysis.
- Support deal structuring, tender preparation, joint ventures, and partnership negotiations.
- Conduct due diligence and develop business cases for potential investments or acquisitions.
- Present strategic financial analysis and forecasts to support executive decision-making.
- Lead the development and submission of competitive tenders and bids.
- Secure long-term service contracts ensuring optimal asset utilization and continuous operations.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key clients, government stakeholders, partners, and industry bodies.
- Represent Abraj in external forums to promote company services and capabilities.
- Collaborate with the executive management team and all other departments to ensure business readiness and deal execution.
- Build and lead a high-performing business development team through coaching, performance management, and career development.
