ABRAJ Delivers Oman’s First Multi-Stage Hydraulic Fracturing Operation in Partnership with PDO

MUSCAT, Sultanate of Oman – ABRAJ Energy Services, Oman's leading oil and gas services provider, has announced the successful completion of Petroleum Development Oman's (PDO) first multi-stage hydraulic fracturing operation on a horizontal oil well in the Nimr field. This milestone marks a significant step forward in improving well performance and introduces a new, more efficient approach to well stimulation within Oman's energy sector.

Efficient Well Stimulation

The operation was completed within a short time frame, using modern well-stimulation methods and flexible operating systems that enabled efficient execution and stable performance. These approaches contributed to improved well productivity and faster operational readiness, supporting PDO's development plans.

Expanding Fracturing Capabilities

This achievement builds on Abraj's strong track record in hydraulic fracturing, following the deployment of its second fracturing fleet for PDO at the Sayh An-Nihayda field. New Drilling Rig Contracts

Additionally, ABRAJ Energy Services has signed new contracts with Petroleum Development Oman for the provision of four land drilling rigs for operations in Block 6, one of the Sultanate's most strategic energy assets. This reinforces the long-standing partnership between Abraj and PDO and demonstrates continued confidence in Abraj's operational capabilities.​
