Since 2006, we’ve evolved from a drilling contractor into a fully integrated well-services provider covering drilling, workover, cementing, intervention and project management. Together with our partners across Oman and the region, we’ve cut non-productive time, built a 93 % Omani workforce and achieved over 30 million LTI-free hours, turning national capability into consistent field performance.
2006
The inception of ABRAJ Energy Services
ABRAJ Energy Services is established.
2007
First rigs deployed
First drilling rig deployed. Commenced flowback services.
2009
Customer expansion and QHSE systems
Customer base rapidly expands. Deployment of fast-moving rigs for Oxy and OOCEP. Launch of Intelex QHSE reporting system.
2010
IPM and drilling fluids launched
Start of IPM project. Inauguration of drilling fluids services. Commencement of operations with OOCEP. Obtained ISO 9001:2008.
2011
Fleet expansion
Deployment of 4 fast-moving rigs for Oxy and OOCEP.
2012
Well intervention services begin
Commenced well intervention services.
2013
Fracturing services inaugurated
Inauguration of ABRAJ Fracturing Services.
2014–2015
Market leadership achieved
Achieved market leadership in Oman drilling rigs. Commenced cementing and coiled tubing services.
2018–2019
Cementing scaled and UAE entry
Cementing services scaled across PDO. 1 rig deployed for Naftogaz in UAE.
2020–2021
Mechanization and market dominance
6 fully mechanized rigs commissioned for the first time in Oman for PDO & OQ. Leading Oman's drilling industry with 30% market share.
2023
IPO and strategic partnerships
Successful IPO. Historic partnership with TotalEnergies. Awarded 3 rigs for Wafra Oilfield Joint Operations (a JV between KGOC and Saudi Chevron).
2024
Kuwait operations and safety milestone
Kuwait operations commenced under WJO. Achieved 3 consecutive years without LTI.
2025
International expansion
Initiated cooperation with Sonatrach Group (Algeria). Expanded operations to 6 rigs with PDO.
