ABRAJ Opens OPES 2026 with Major Awards, Strategic Agreements, and New Growth Partnerships

ABRAJ Energy Services marked a strong opening to its participation at the Oman Petroleum & Energy Show 2026 (OPES 2026), where the Company is participating as an Official Sponsor and Exhibitor from 18 to 20 May 2026 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Center in Muscat.

The first day of participation reflected ABRAJ's growing role as a strategic energy services partner, with high-level industry engagement, new contract signings, and strategic partnership initiatives that support Oman's energy sector priorities, operational sustainability, and In-Country Value.

The opening day followed a milestone awards night on 17 May, during which ABRAJ received two prestigious recognitions: the Oman Sustainability Awards – Gold Award and the Majd Award for Best Local Content Program.

As part of its first-day agenda, ABRAJ participated in the OPES and OSW 2026 opening ceremony and contributed to the CEO industry dialogue panel titled "Balancing Collaborative Act – Efficient Production Growth, Less Emission with Zero Harm." The session, featuring ABRAJ CEO Eng. Saif Al Hamhami addressed key priorities shaping the industry, including production efficiency, emissions reduction, safety leadership, and collaboration across the energy value chain.

Further reinforcing ABRAJ's commitment to technical excellence and knowledge sharing, the Company's technical experts also participated in the SPE Conference program by presenting specialized technical papers on operational optimization, hydraulic fracturing efficiency, and advanced coiled tubing applications in Oman's oilfields.

Five-Year Cementing Contract with OQ Exploration & Production

‍

ABRAJ also announced the signing of a five-year cementing contract with OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP). The contract, which is expected to commence during the first half of 2026, covers cementing services using ABRAJ's existing cementing units operating in Blocks 60 and 48.

The contract has an expected value of approximately OMR 13 million, with a base period of five years and an option for extension. This agreement strengthens ABRAJ's cementing portfolio and reinforces the Company's ability to deliver reliable, integrated well services to major operators in Oman.

Strategic Services Agreements with Petrogas Rima and ARA Petroleum

In addition, ABRAJ strengthened its portfolio of strategic services partnerships through two contract signings with Petrogas Rima and ARA Petroleum. The Company signed a strategic services agreement with Petrogas Rima to support operations within Petroleum Development Oman's Block 6 concession in South Oman, and also signed the RIG 204 Extension Contract with ARA Petroleum.

Together, these agreements reflect ABRAJ's continued focus on building long-term partnerships that support operational continuity, field performance, and execution certainty across Oman's energy sector. They further reinforce the Company's ability to deliver reliable, safe, and efficient drilling and well services while deepening collaboration with national and regional operators.

Partnerships Supporting Cleaner Energy and Local Manufacturing

The Company also signed two strategic partnership agreements with national companies to advance cleaner energy utilization, supply chain localization, and industrial capability development.

ABRAJ signed a strategic partnership initiative with National Gas Company (NGC) to explore domestic LNG infrastructure solutions that support cleaner energy utilization, operational sustainability, and future energy transition initiatives across rig operations and industrial applications.

ABRAJ further signed a strategic partnership agreement with EMDAD Energy to support the localization of specialized propant manufacturing in Oman. This initiative is expected to contribute to supply chain localization, SME development, and enhancement of In-Country Value by developing local industrial capability in a specialized segment critical to well stimulation and unconventional resource development.
