Managing our environmental footprint

Effective environmental management is central to ABRAJ’s commitment to lower-impact and well-managed operations. We are building a robust emissions baseline, improving resource efficiency and strengthening environmental practices in line with Oman’s Net Zero 2050 ambition. Together, these improvements help safeguard water, land and biodiversity around our operating areas.

Lower-impact operations

Emissions management

A clear understanding of emissions is essential for improving operational performance. ABRAJ has completed its GHG baseline and is integrating emissions tracking across operations. Priority actions focus on optimising fuel use at rigs, strengthening equipment efficiency and improving data quality to support credible targets and practical decarbonisation steps.

Cutting consumption

Energy efficiency

Energy-saving improvements come from better processes, upgraded technology and stronger asset integrity. ABRAJ applies these measures across rigs and support sites, using semi-automated systems and maintenance analytics to cut avoidable consumption and reduce overall energy intensity.

Resource protection

Water stewardship

Water use is closely managed across rigs and support sites to reduce withdrawals and avoid unnecessary loss. ABRAJ increases reuse where feasible and maintains strict controls for storage and disposal, helping protect local resources and support compliance in arid conditions.

Responsible practices

Waste management

Waste segregation and responsible disposal are established practices across our sites. ABRAJ is expanding recycling and reduction initiatives and working closely with vendors to strengthen alignment and improve documentation.

Protecting ecosystems

Biodiversity & resilience

Environmental safeguards and careful site planning help reduce disturbance around our operations. We apply climate-risk assessments to guide adaptation measures and maintain continuity during heat and weather-related stress conditions.
